Dubai’s flagship carrier Emirates will recruit more than 6,000 employees in the coming months as it expands its network with a recovery in the aviation sector.
In September, Emirates embarked on a global campaign to recruit 3,000 cabin crew and 500 airport services employees to join its Dubai hub. The airline also needs 700 additional ground staff in Dubai and across its network.
The carrier has listed dozens of jobs on its career portal – including cabin crew, administrative executives, healthcare staff, human resources professionals, airport service officers, senior accountants, among others. Below is the list of vacancies and requirements listed on the Emirates Career Portal:
> Cabin crew
Requirements: over one year of hospitality / customer service experience; educated at least up to secondary level; fluency in written and spoken English (additional languages ââdesirable); at least 21 years old at the time of enrollment; medically fit to meet the requirements of cabin crew with a healthy body mass index (BMI); and a minimum arm reach of 212 cm (on tiptoe) and a minimum height of 160 cm, which will allow you to access emergency equipment on all types of aircraft, among others.
> Contact center agent
Requirements: Fluency in English and one of the following languages: German, Arabic, Czech, French, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish; more than one year of customer service or call center experience; 10 years of schooling or equivalent; and excellent interpersonal, telephone and customer service skills.

Requirements: To join as a first officer on the airline’s B777 and A380 fleets, applicants will need a minimum of 2,000 flight hours on multi-engine, multi-crew, turboprop and / or jet aircraft with an MTOW 20T or a minimum of 3000 flight hours. Multi-engine, multi-crew, turboprop and / or jet airplanes with an MTOW between 10T and 20T (the simulation time cannot be accepted). They must have flown at least 150 hours in the last 12 months; and have a valid ICAO ATPL (or US equivalent) with its associated Class 1 medical certificate; and ICAO English level 4 or higher.
> Airport services agent
Requirements: High school certificate; Experience of 2 years and more; fluency in written and spoken English; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages; and effective communication skills. Spoken Arabic language skills would be a plus.
> Onboarding coordinator (6 month contract)
Requirements: More than 4 years of professional experience in HR, customer service administration; adaptable to support tactically and operationally in the different areas of talent acquisition (attraction, Talent ID, integration, integration); technologically proficient with the ability and desire to learn different systems; and excellent communication skills.
> Senior accounting assistant
Requirements: More than 5 years of experience; accounting knowledge; high level of computer skills and office applications such as Excel, MS Access and PowerPoint; analytical, writing and communication skills; good knowledge of Arabic and French languages.
> Sales and customer service agent
Requirements: 10 years of schooling or equivalent; more than one year of experience; knowledge of contact center and airline industry procedures and methodology; and knowledge of standard fares and ticketing courses, Skywards and MARS reservation systems.
> Senior advisor
Requirements: 5 years and more of experience in human resources / psychology (clinical); active DHA license; graduate degree in counseling or psychology; membership in international advisory bodies or organizations; privileged training in any form of specialized therapy will be an additional advantage; experience in family and adolescent counseling; working knowledge of Gulf culture and the international code of social conduct; fluency in the English language.
> Clinical psychologist
Requirements: Active DHA license; Graduate Diploma; training in evidence-based psychotherapy; membership of international psychology bodies or organizations; more than 8 years of experience; fluency in the English language, among others.
> HR manager
Requirements: At least 10 years of experience; diploma in a relevant field (business administration / marketing / advertising / PR / HR etc.); Experience in talent acquisition or leading talent research / analysis teams, including recruiting, retaining and supervising staff, among others.
> Team leader
Requirements: High school with certificate; 4 to 6 years of experience in business administration / aviation / ground support / customer service; 2-4 years of customer service; basic understanding of air operations terminology; understanding of local / international aviation safety and security requirements; mastery of information and computer technologies; supervisory skills; competent planning and organizational skills; must have UAE driver’s license.
> Sales and operations specialist
Requirements: More than 5 years of experience; holder of the diploma concerned; knowledge of the tourism industry, tour operators and airline reservations.
> Safari operations manager
Requirements: 5 years of experience in field tours / guides; relevant diploma; safari experience, tours; knowledge of the Northern Emirates (off-road routes); knowledge of the mechanical aspects of a 4×4 vehicle; Valid UAE driver’s license.
> Marketing manager
Requirements: Diploma in relevant field; More than 5 years of experience in negotiating commercial / sales contracts; minimum 3 years of experience as a product / purchasing manager among others.
Requirements: 5 years of experience in general medicine / family medicine; diploma or MBChB, MBBS, MD or equivalent medical degree; DHA registration; and scholarship or membership in one of the Royal Colleges or equivalent is preferable.
> E-commerce and mobile manager
Requirements: More than 8 years of experience in a digital e-commerce environment; degree in a relevant field; solid understanding of online sales, product development accessories; and strong analytical skills.
> Administrative coordinator
Requirements: 12 years of schooling or equivalent; experience in an administrative environment; and proficiency in MS software packages and enterprise systems (TER / ROS), HR Direct and Resource Management System.
> Crew logistics coordinator
Requirements: flight operations over 5 years; 12 years of schooling or equivalent; good communication and interpersonal skills; and working knowledge of operational systems.
