SOUNDEXCHANGE PROPOSES LUIS BONILLA AS CTO
Bonilla has served as Senior Vice President of Operations at SoundExchange since 2020 and first joined the organization as Senior Director of Distribution Services in 2011.

Over the past decade Bonilla has been instrumental in the growth and development of the company. He led the transition from quarterly to monthly distributions, transformed the royalty distribution process, revamped SoundExchange’s international services, and conducted bilateral exchanges with overseas CMOs.
Bonilla also led the development of SoundExchange’s Business Intelligence and Analytics practice to better inform the company’s data platform. He has 22 years of experience leading IT teams and technical business processes and previously led the IT department of Artistas Intérpretes Sociedad de Gestión, the management organization for audiovisual performers in Spain. Bonilla currently sits on the board of DDEX, the international standards organization dedicated to improving the exchange of data and information in the music industry.
A native of MadridBonilla holds a master’s degree in electronic and computer engineering and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
