Woman Arrested Charged with Shooting at Lauderhill Subway Manager by T-Mobile Store – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports
LAUDERHILL, FLA. (WSVN) – Police have arrested a woman accused of shooting her former boss, the manager of a mobile phone store in Lauderhill, after being fired.
Lauderhill Police said Rachel Boisette, 27, was charged with attempted murder in Friday’s shooting at the Metro by T-Mobile store in Inverness Plaza, located along the 5500 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard .
Investigators said the suspect and her former employer had an altercation over her dismissal which escalated until she pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting the victim several times in the chest .
According to the affidavit of arrest, the only reason Boisette stopped shooting was because the handgun she was using had malfunctioned.
Rescue teams transported the store manager to Broward Health Medical Center as a trauma alert. On Saturday afternoon, he was listed in stable condition.
The victim was able to give details of the incident to detectives from his hospital bed.
